Brass light fittings
I would be grateful if you would advise me if there is any way of cleaning (mock) brass light fittings which have become tarnished over the years.
Thank you.
Hi there!
Ah, I see that also you are preparing for Christmas? I have an advice on how to clean your brass light fittings. It is not recommended to use anything chemical when cleaning your fittings, so if the brass is tarnished, you can clean them with a cloth soaked with vinegar and dipped in salt. If there are any “hard to get to” places, try using a toothbrush or q-tip. This should work fine, and it is cheap too! If you have some lemons lying around also these can be used, try rubbing the lemon on the brass and polish with a clean cloth.
Good luck!
Aggie
